Inspired by the beautiful song “Unwritten” by Natasha Bedingfield, I wrote a poetic letter to myself.
Here, I’d like to share it with you wishing for you to empower yourself with self-compassion, self-acceptance, and self-leadership – because you are worth it!
Dear You,
Your life is unwritten, you’re undefined.
You’re just beginning, ending unplanned.
Step in, step out. Breathe in, breathe out.
You’re alive.
You see the world, you feel the world, you are the world.
Step in, stay in.
Take your world and own it. Feel it because no one else can feel it for you.
Live passionately, love deeply, lead purposefully and unapologetically.
Take your time, take your space, take your power.
It’s okay to stop, it’s good to pause.
Begin and begin again!
It’s fucking exuberating to play. The world is your playground.
Release your inner 3-year-old.
Play, jump, fall, make a mess.
Get up, clean up, jump again.
Take a leap, take a leap now.
Feel the wings on your back, feel the freedom in your body as you fall.
Look up, look down, look around, and find ways to fall again.
Only this time, train your world to catch you.
You are safe!
You are enough!
You are worthy!
Breathe in. Breathe out.
Feel your aliveness, and live!
Live like no one’s watching,
love like there’s no tomorrow,
and lead with all of you.
Go on, because you matter!
